This Saturday CC VINTAGE will be selling some vintage pretties at The Beech Inn, Chorlton. As summer starts to fade, don't let your wardrobe fade with it!

New ebay listings
I have not had time to focus on CC Vintage for a while as other work commitments have intervened, anyway, I intend to gradually start listing some new pieces when I get chance. I still have a stock room with some lovely bits that I would love to share, but for now here are the latest two, with more to follow soon. Enjoy!

Geometric Jewels
I am not a massive jewellery wearer, but I do like to appreciate it on others. It can alter the overall look of an outfit, changing something from day to night, but I do still firmly believe that less is more, which I believe stems down from my mothers jewellery choices when I was growing up.
When I got engaged I was very lucky to be presented with a stunning vintage sapphire diamond ring. This means more to be that anything, and it's quite a significant piece for my hand. I therefore when look at other pieces to wear, go for simplicity, nothing too detailed or overly fussy. So when the angular jewels started appearing online and in shops, I was very happy. The shapes and clear lines that they present I believe make them easy to wear. They can take a fussy print fueled outfit, to look slick and almost clinical. Everything just seems to look a whole lot neater, which in my overly excessive constant tidying mind is always a good thing.
Here are some of my favourite pieces:

Prada to pop up Manchester?
As yet nothing is confirmed, but I am pleased to hear that Prada may be making an appearance in overcast Manchester! The use of colour, artwork and prints that adorn the fabrics really jump out at me, combined with the oversized silhouettes, clashing patterns and the highly embellished jewel designs that will hopefully introduce some cheeriness in a lacking wardrobe?

Even Madder Men?
I am so happy! Tomorrow sees the launch of Mad Men series 5 on Sky Atlantic, 9pm. I shall rush home from work to witness the on screen 60s shenanigans of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. There hasn't been anything on TV that has grabbed me like this has, from the costumes to the story lines, styling & deco to the characters, it's simply brilliant!
Yeha for the long awaited return of Mad Men...

Birdy Barbour Shirt
I spotted this a while back and the other day I saw a young lady wearing it. The Barbour Bird Shirt. (real name Tina printed shirt) Although birds do scare me, their feet and fluttery-ness, its seems on fabrics, plastic, necklaces, even skin (I have a bird tattoo on my wrist), I can handle them! In fact, I love them! This shirt is so detailed and screams total countryside to me.
Price £89.95
My Marni Purchase!
Well Marni hit H&M last week and although I did happen to be working that day, I strolled up on my lunch break to take a look. By 3pm the crowds had died down and so had the collection! I did however walk away with the print coat. A staple piece for my wardrobe, this lovely jacket will be perfect for the weddings that are filling up my 2012 diary! The shape is super, the print, bold but not too in your face and the sleeve length makes it good for spring/summer. My COS employee discount came in a treat too. My friend purchased two amazing necklaces, the white flower one being my fav. Unfortunately that is now selling on Ebay for twice the price, if not more. It does my head in that people actually get away with buying lots and selling it online to make money, and not being an actual fan of Marni... I am all for entrepreneurial skills, but that's just not fair. Here is Winona Ryder looking great in my new piece

What's your print?
I love ROBYN! These cute little printed pants are rocking that she dances around in, her moves are too! I still have my NW3 bird printed silks which will once again be flying out of my wardrobe soon. One more outfit that I found which I wanted to share was this amazing yellow head-to-toe look, finished off with golden shoes... where do I find myself one of these?! (spotted at Milan fashion week).
You little MONKI
My shop of the week goes to MONKI! A couple of cute little purchases came in the shape of some yellow wedge boots and a pair of dainty yellow/green socks. I didn't realise that this store had a premises over here having picked up my items from their online store. However, after a trip to London I see that it has launched in the UK on Carnaby St. Bit disappointed by their store, much preferring the website feel. My boots rock though, super comfy, nice size heel and they definitely brighten up my outfits! POP!
Also loving the hats... tried them on, but just still feel too conscious of myself when wearing them. The boots will have to do for now.
Another shop falling under the H&M umbrella, Scandinavian fashion once again cheap and cheerful!

Neglected Laura
I feel as though I haven't paid much attention to my musical choices lately. After being in a shop the other day I realised I wanted to stay in there and look around partly to do with the music that was on in the background. It was Laura Marling. After returning home I have gotten back into listening to her music again and realised just how much it has changed, matured and progressed. A fan of Laura from the very beginning, I was lucky enough to work for her when she was first signed to Virgin, now five years on, her sound has obviously changed somewhat, so I have decided to re discover Laura and her new music with her latest album "A Creature I Don't Know". Time has moved on, life has changed for everyone and I'm ready to start choosing what I want to listen to again...
I liked this short film so wanted to share it. Enjoy!

Walk like an Egyptian
When Madonna burst onto the American Superbowl half time show, her head gear was somewhat impressive. It got me interested in all things Egyptian inspired; make up, jewels, accessories... EYELINER! I am currently perfecting my eyeliner flick, one side is always better than the other! Yesterday I came across these lovely little shoes from Urban Outfitters, I loved them! Unfortunately, they were just so uncomfortable that I am having to have a think about them. Simple to look at from the front, cut low giving a little toe cleavage (which I love) with a nice rounded toe shape, it's when you turn them round that the black panther detail springs off the heal in gold embellishment. They come in a classic black and rusty orange suede too. Priced at £35, a girl has to think is the pain really worth having pretty fashionable feet...

Send in the Sunshine
Ah, yellow!
So pretty, so bright, so warm and so welcoming. With lots of different shades to suit every skin tone and hair colour, wearing a yellow item will most definitely put a smile on your face, or the person that spots it! Going through my wardrobe today I picked out one or two pieces that have hints of this lively colour on it, but I shall be purchasing something soon to complete my springtime look.

Marching MARNI
It's not long now until Marni will be gracing those H&M rails. I think around March 8th, yippee! I am a huge fan of Marni, I love their colourful accessories and bold prints with block colours, however, my budget cannot usually stretch to their prices, so this will be perfect! I have had my eye on a few pieces, including those amazing silver shoes...

Antique Hunt
I love going around little villages, scouring for antiques, jewellery, furniture and clothes. Recently I have been to these two lovely places: Memories in Ramsbottom and the GB Antiques Centre in Lancaster. About an hours drive from Manchester, GB Antiques has room upon room full of big pieces of furniture, to little rails of clothes hidden away and few pieces of jewels. Memories on the other hand has cases and cases of rare jewellery, art deco pieces, beautiful broaches, toys, books, china and more trinkets that you can imagine! Two floors crammed full of bits and pieces. Memories also has the cutest team members, I loved the little nana's working away in there, talking about the steak dinners and what they had for their lunch! Even if you don't leave with a purchase, you can secretly learn about bacon ribs and where to get the best piece of steak in Ramsbottom!
I picked up two pairs of statement earrings for my 2012 collection! A pair that make me want to go POP and that reminded me of Prada's brightly coloured fruit inspired earrings from 2011. Plus a bronzed pair with little black beads to glam up my simple plain classic outfits.

Creatures of the Wind
Not only do I love the pieces from the Chicago based duos spring/summer 2012 collection, the name itself is totally captivating too. Looking back from 2011 to 2012, bright colours with contrasting prints are exploding onto a variety of fabrics. Little feminine floral jackets teamed with plain dresses and blouses... I cannot wait!
